The Bureau conducted quarterly surveys on visitors departing at the Seychelles International Airport in 2008 and 2010. The surveys were aimed at collecting information on visitors’ perception of security and safety in Seychelles. The questions covered incidents of attacks and threats, loss of property, the location where these happened, their frequency and what measures were taken, if any, by the victims. The issue of the existence of foreign exchange black market activities was also included to give an indication of the extent of such practice.
